Princess Party

2017 PP Flyer

Myra Merkal began organizing the White Rock Princess Party 5 years ago after she was inspired by her son Evan Bird, a White Rock Firefighter. Evan and 8 of his colleagues cycled “Shore2Shore’ across Canada to raise funds and awareness for Variety the Children’s Charity. In 2010, Merkal decided to host her first Princess Party which received an overwhelming response.  Deciding to use the event as a way to garner awareness and funds for a local charity, Merkal sat down with her son to find a cause they could support.

The White Rock Firefighters Charity Association has an initiative to create the first ‘ALL ABILITIES PARK’ in the White Rock-South Surrey area. The park will provide an innovative, unique and entertaining play space for children &  adults of all ages and abilities!

The playground will provide access for children & adults to experience fun, interactive and challenging play. This play environment encourages children of all ages and abilities to explore, try something new, expend loads of energy and interact with others. For children this just means FUN!!

We want this project to be a community wide effort. Our dream is that this park will be thoughtfully designed through the collaboration of city staff, professionals, and parents to develop specific skill sets in all children. We invite and appreciate sponsors, philanthropists and financial support to help us bring this park to our community.
